  George Clark Clouston.JPG - George Clark Clouston was born in Stenness 1st February 1874. He was the son of James Clouston and Mary Lyon, James was the son of Thomas Clouston and his cousin Mary, descendants of Nicol Clouston of Netherbigging.George trained with the Leith Police before emigrating to New Zealand in 1897. He began his police career in Wanganui, and was transferred to Normanby and later Opunake, where for many years he was the Police Constable before becoming Mayor.
